June - Rock Ness Concert at Dores Inverness. The music festival on the shores of Loch Ness.
July - Inverness Highland Games in Northern Meeting Park will take place as part of the Inverness Summer Festival. Founded in 1822 the Games are one of the most spectacular traditional Gatherings staged in Scotland and are one of the highlights of any visit to the Highland Capital.
August - Black Isle Show at Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord. This is the largest agricultural show in the North of Scotland.
August - Highland Field Sports Fair at Moy Hall The fair offers a diversity of entertainments and activities for all of the family, from creche facilities to archery! The emphasis is on field sports activities with competitions in fly casting, gun dog handling and clay pigeon shooting.
August - Belladrum - Tartan Heart Festival on the Belladrum Estate, by Beauly. Family-orientated outdoor festival of rock, country, blues and world music.
August - Glenurquhart Highland Games at Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness.
August - Nairn Book & Arts Festival
September - Blas Festival Club.
September - Loch Ness Marathon plus 5K and 10K River Ness fun runs. The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon takes place along the shores of Loch Ness.
October - Highland Archaeology Fortnight - events and seminars throughout the region.
October - Blazin' in Beauly music festival. Blazin’ in Beauly was started by the band Blazin’ Fiddles in the historic village of Beauly, 15 miles west of Inverness. With the aim of being “much more than a fiddle school” the intention of the week in Beauly is to immerse people in the music of the Highlands and Islands.
December - Ness Islands Festive Event. A wonderful floodlit walk in one of the nicest parks in Inverness. Theme to be announced.
December - Winter Festival reaches its climax with the Highlands biggest free Hogmanay Party at Northern Meeting Park Arena. Come and see in 2013 in style.
